When we started going live from the Commons, I noticed that folks would sign on to watch the stream early and just watch a boring countdown timer. I asked if I could start doing a 5-8 min morning show where we would interview folks and play games. It’s had a few different formats and hosts based on the context. But, the underlying idea is the same, that getting people to laugh, smile, and play sets them up to better worship and hear a message. It’s basic young life/SFC 101 that I learned from Darby. It’s fun to insert and advocate for that stuff into a church context.
