I was at a youth ministry network meeting and someone asked the group, “Hypothetically, you’ve received a $500 gift of cash from a donor and you have to spend it on something fun for your youth group. How would you spend it?”
Here are my 11 suggestions:
1. Twenty Z-bows to play Archery Tag.
2. Gameshow buzzers to play lots of gameshow type games.
3. Starter DJ Lighting Package for late night dance parties.
4. Take eight students to a Minnesota Wild Game.
5. 5,000 Ping Pong Balls for all sorts of chaos.
6. Find a used inflatable bounce house on craiglist.com.
7. Take 25 students to a puzzle room like Trapped!
8. X-Box One with a Kinect and games for before and after Youth Group.
10. A nice DSLR camera with free classes from National Camera.
11. A great event or gear rental from Youth Forum!
